The Honorary Consul General of the Philippines on ANZAC Day in Port Vila, Vanuatu
At dawn on Anzac Day, 25 April 2024, Australians, New Zealanders, and members of the international community, including Honorary Consul General Bong Serrano representing the Philippines in Vanuatu, gathered at the Port Vila Cenotaph to honour the sacrifice, courage and mateship of the original ANZACs.
Anzac Day also honours the service personnel who have served and died in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping missions, and allies and partners who have served alongside them, including many Filipinos.
The Philippine community in Vanuatu, represented through the Philippine Consulate General, has demonstrated on ANZAC Day commitment to stand alongside all members of the Pacific Family to reinforce a rules-based international order based on freedom, security and respect for human rights.
